Get involved this Christmas

29th October 2024

This year, in the run up to Christmas, we’ve produced some great resources – including our Reverse Advent Calendar – and we’d love you to get involved.

Winter is often the most difficult season for people on a low income. For many, the coming months will be a particularly tough period as they struggle to cover the cost of energy bills, food and other essentials, on top of trying to find a little bit of happiness and hope over Christmas.

Christmas is also a season of great generosity. That’s why we’re urging everyone across our South Liverpool community to get involved – companies, schools, churches, individuals – and donate items to help boost our food supplies for people who have been left without enough money to live on this winter.

Here are some ways you can get involved:

Reverse Advent Calendar:  The calendar contains 25 essential items that we include in our emergency food parcels. You can choose when to start collecting, but we’ll need to receive your donations by mid-December at the latest so that they can reach people in need before Christmas.

Gift Donation Slips:  Developed for anyone who’d like their family / friends to make a donation to our food bank instead of buying them a gift. There are three designs to choose from.

Appeal Poster:  A poster / flyer for you to display in your workplace, church, school or community. It contains a shopping list of our most needed items plus details on how to donate.

Shopping Lists:  Designed to be distributed in your workplace, church, school or community. These contain details of our most needed items on the front plus more information about our food bank on the back. Simply print and cut to size.

Thank you for your generosity. Together we can make a difference.
