Make a difference during Lent

Care and caringCommunityFood banks

Lent is the period of 40-days leading up to Easter, the most important festival in the Christian calendar. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and leading up to Easter, it focuses on prayer, fasting and reflection to prepare for celebrating Jesus' resurrection. This reflection can often focus on hardship.

In the six weeks of Lent, our food banks across South Liverpool will provide emergency food and practical support to hundreds of people, families and children who are facing hunger and hardship - unable to afford life’s essentials because they've been left without enough money to live on.

In order for us to help, we rely on community support and donations.

If you, your church, school or community group is taking part in Lent and would like to support our food bank, we’ve produced some great resources below to help inspire and encourage you to get involved.
