From May to November, South Liverpool Foodbank has been working in partnership with Network Rail at Lime Street Station and with Central and North Liverpool Foodbanks to raise money for our joint work through a bucket collection on the last Friday of the month from 7am to 7pm.
We’ve had many new faces appear on the concourse to help us collect from local university students, Foodbank volunteers and new volunteers who have contacted us through our social media sites – Facebook and Twitter.
We have collected in varying temperatures, most notably in November when it was 1C.
Through this partnership we have collected over £5000 which will help to fund our work.
